Fall Retreat

We took Owen to Tall Timber near Leavenworth for Salt's Fall Retreat this year! He mostly did great - he was entertained by all the people (130 of them) and slept well except for the first night. He learned to scrunch his little nose for the first time when he smiled over the weekend - those pictures are coming! He figured out what makes people respond and just kept doing it!
Overall it was a very good trip and we were definitely ready to be home on Sunday where Owen could crawl free in our own home (which was free of mouse traps and jagged rock fireplace edges, TV at his level and wires coming out of the wall). I'm pretty sure he crawled around the whole house non-stop for about 30 min. when we got out of the car. Speaking of the car, I had two great young women ride home with me keeping Owen entertained in the backseat for the 2 hr. ride since he has decided mostly to boycott car naps. They traded places halfway home so they wouldn't burn out! :)
Since that weekend, we have mostly just hung out around home. No big trips planned as of now - just some walks around the neighborhood, maybe a trip to Starbucks and the grocery store and something spontaneous when we're desperate!
